Rona Hitlin-Mason LPCLicensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Rona B. Hitlin-Mason, LPC, LLC
If I could tell you one thing about how I approach therapy, it is:
I offer help and support to people who are interested in learning to draw on their own strengths and resources to solve problems and to improve the quality of their lives and their relationships. I am a strength-based, solution-oriented therapist trained in family systems. I use research based measures to assess how therapy is working and to insure that I am helping you to meet your therapy goals.
I have worked as a therapist for over 15 years. My clinical experience includes working in outpatient settings with individuals, couples and families. I have experience providing outpatient assessment and treatment, crisis intervention, short- and long-term therapy, group therapy, workshops, and organizational development. I have facilitated divorce support groups; led workshops on the emotional impact of divorce and on how parents can help their children through the divorce process. I help couples in the decision making process of staying together or separating; I help couples to heal from past hurts; I support individuals through their divorce process; and work with adults to help them co-parent their children after separation.

I strongly believe that you have the strength and skills to weather the difficult journey of divorce. That hope and optimism helps to motivate you to do the work you need to do to draw on those strength and skills as you move forward. It would be an honor to accompany you on your journey to self-acceptance, relief of symptoms and healing.
I have facilitated divorce support groups, led workshops on the emotional stages of divorce and on how parents help their children through the divorce process. I talk about how it really is “normal to feel ‘crazy’ right now” during this process. I have led workshops on grieving, stress management, values clarification and conflict resolution.
